After graduating in Rouen School of Art in France with a degree in Fine Art, Agnes Chevalier studied History of Art at the Sorbonne, University of Paris and later Embroidery and Textiles at Goldsmith College, University of London.
She has been living and working in the UK for the past 30 years, developing an extensive portfolio of Fine Art Embroidery inspired by the Impressionists and the Pre-Raphaelite Artists and by the beauty of the South East English countryside where she lives.
Agnes draws with the needle of her much-trusted old sewing machine and then “paints” with a palette of vibrant coloured threads to create amazing 3D effect pictures.
Her work has been exhibited in France, Belgium and England where she has participated in Brighton’s Artist Open Houses for the past decade. Her work can be viewed on Saatchi Gallery Online.
